Pour la culture et la créativité

CELEBRATING BOHEMIANS

While Bohemia is an actual place (in Western Czechoslovakia) which we love, the word ‘Boheme’ in French refers to the spirit of creative and social freedom that arose in mid-19th Century Paris and spread worldwide, flaunting conventions in dress, relationships, language, politics, emphasizing artistic expression over financial gain. It is this sense of personal adventure to which Bar Boheme pays tribute, affirming our commitment to “keeping the arts in the Arts District.”

LA CUISINE

Under the direction of Chef James Trees, the menu at Bar Boheme revisits French traditions with a modern eye. Our selections include fanciful canapes, a wide selection of fruit de mer, traditional Sole Veronique and Entrecote, as well as genuine Parisian baguettes and exquisite desserts.

NOTRE MAISON

Once a mid-century mechanic’s shop, our home in the Arts District is centered around a bar of genuine zebra marble, with chandeliers and wall decor evoking the free-spirited salons of Belle Epoque writers, artists and philosophers. Our terrace overlooks our espace vert a modest garden escape from the bustle of Main Street. Find our sibling bar Petite Boheme just a few steps away.

VINS FINS

We are proud to offer wines exclusively from the country of France, offered by their traditional regions. We feel quite passionately that French food is best paired with the wines of its homeland. In support of that ideal, you will find our selections priced to enjoy rather than defeat. A tailored selection of spirits, eau de vie and classic cocktails are also available.
